We use these body weight focused functional exercises, but also love to mix it up with kettlebells, medicine balls, resistance bands, sandbags, and free weights.

What are KettleBells?

Our favorite secret weapon training tool!! A Kettlebell is a century old Russian training tool that looks like a bowling ball with a handle. Originally, kettlebells were counter-weights used in Russian markets. Country folk started throwing them around and eventually they became very popular in Russia as a training tool. In 1913 the Russian magazine Hercules reported “Not a single sport develops our muscular strength and bodies as well as kettlebell athletics.” Although kettlebells develop strength, a kettlebell-trained body is not bulky. Russian athletes and common folk have been using kettlebells for centuries. The Russian Military has long used kettlebells for conditioning.

Kettlebells can be used in ballistic or swinging movements or used in press and pull exercises similar to free weights. However the displacement of the kettlebell weight from the hand away from the body requires that the stabilizing muscles of the core actively engage. Kettlebell exercises are whole-body exercises requiring full body integration and core stabilization. You’re body will know it when you train with the “k-bells”!

How often do we meet?

Beach Fit Now Bootcamps meet at different times on different days at different locations. But we’d love to see you each and every day if you can swing it so, please refer to our schedule for details.

What is the cost value of bootcamps versus persoanl training?

BEACH FIT NOW BOOTCAMPS are most definitely the biggest “bang for your buck” when it comes to professional instruction and powerful results. Personal Training 3 times a week for six weeks would cost over $1260. Our bootcamps cost $360. An incredible savings of $900.00!! And don’t forget there are no club fees, initiation fees or monthly dues. Not to mention you’ll have the time of your life playing in the great outdoors while transforming your mind, body and spirit! So, who would choose monotonous routines that don’t effect change in cramped, smelly gyms?

Why should I do a Bootcamp?

That’s as easy to answer as 1-2-3

1. One life. One chance to get it right. One connection throughout space and time.

2. Two reasons why most workout routines fail?

  • 1. People lose interest VERY quickly and quit because they are……BORED!!!
  • 2. People want to see immediate results, but they don’t push themselves to that illusive point of untested potential like our highly educated and skilled trainers can.

What do I need for the camp?

You should wear comfortable season appropriate athletic clothing or barefoot beachware for our Beach Bootcamps. You need to bring a towel, lots of water, sunblock, hat, sunglasses and as our mantra says…HUMILITY AND GRATITUDE. Just know you’re going to get sandy, sweaty and possibly muddy. You’re gonna be pushed beyond your falsely defined limits. You’re gonna experience breakthroughs and awakenings. Can you handle it?
….Oops. Almost forgot. It’s imperative. Not optional. You MUST not forget to bring your……. swagger!!

Should I eat before the camp?

Absolutely!! A resounding YEEESSSSSSSS!!!! You will get sick if you don’t eat and you can’t expect the high performance machine to optimally operate without high quality fuel!! It’s plain and simple logic people!! Especially for the early morning sessions. BREAKFAST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY! (Well, that’s not totally true. Which meal is the most important?….. Answer. ALL OF THEM! All six!) In fact, if you don’t eat and exercise vigoriously you will not only NOT see favorable results, you will sabatoge your metabolism, force your body to store fat and create systemic imbalance and chaos in your body. It’s a dangerous and very unhealthy game to play. Our trainers will quiz you about what you ate before class. So expect it. We have been know to send people home and refuse to train them. That’s how serious we are about your health! A well balanced breakfast is a MUST. Hydration before, during and after bootcamp is a MUST.

How much weight can I expect to lose?

Well, we know this is the 6 million dollar question. But, let me give it to you straight. If you’re looking to just drop pounds and plan on compulsively measuring your day to day, hour by hour progress based exclusively on the numbers on your bathroom scale, this isn’t the program for you. Why? Because you are so much more than the numbers reflected back at you on that bathroom scale. So much more. Your miraculous body is complex and as individual as each snow flake. At BEACH FIT NOW BOOTCAMPS, we encourage you to look at weight loss a little differently than most conventional programs. We promote:

  • A focus first on Health not your external form. We take great care to educate you on your body.
